Content Safety Policy
PointMintz runs a platform-wide content-moderation program covering staff portfolio photos and captions posted through booking sites on PointMintz. Every business's queue is reviewed by our platform trust & safety team, using automated severity scoring plus customer flags to prioritize what gets a human look first.
How review works
When a staff member posts a portfolio photo, it is scored for potential issues on a 0–6 severity scale and can also be flagged by customers. Anything pending or held for re-review lands in a cross-business queue, sorted by severity first and age second, so the most concerning items are reviewed soonest.
Moderation policy tiers
Every business is assigned one of three policy tiers, which sets how aggressively content is automatically hidden pending review:
- Strict — auto-hide at severity 1
- Standard — auto-hide at severity 3
- Trusted — auto-hide at severity 6
A platform admin can also set an explicit policy override with a threshold from 0 to 6, with a documented reason, for a specific business.
What happens to reviewed content
Our platform trust & safety team can take one of these actions on any item:
- Approve
- Reject
- Quarantine
- Escalate to legal
- Ban tenant
Every decision is logged
Every moderation decision — who made it, when, the prior and new status, and the reason — is written to an append-only record that is never edited or deleted. This gives us (and, on request, the affected business) a permanent, auditable history of every call made.
Report something concerning
If you come across content on a PointMintz business's booking site that you believe violates this policy, contact us with a link or description of what you saw. We review reports as part of the same queue described above.
